Rohnert Park has finally greenlit its decade-long dream of creating a downtown.
According to the Press Democrat, the City Council voted unanimously to approve the concept plan and land deal for the 30-acre former State Farm campus.
The city will sell the property for $11.2 million to CenterCal Properties. The plan calls for a mix of up to 400 homes, commercial space, a hotel, and a central plaza to create the city’s long-missing core.
Construction is targeted to start in 2027.
