A longtime Petaluma manufacturer is the latest to announce job cuts in the local high-tech sector.
Small Precision Tools says it will lay off 30 workers at its Clegg Street facility starting April 17th.
The company, which produces high-precision tools for the medical and electronics industries, says the move is part of a global restructuring by its Swiss parent company due to reduced demand. This follows several other recent rounds of layoffs within Petaluma’s manufacturing industry.
