Ever wonder what it’s actually like to be behind the badge? The Santa Rosa Police Department is giving you a chance to find out.
SRPD is now accepting applications for its Community Police Experience, a seven-week program designed to pull back the curtain on local law enforcement. Starting April 8th, participants will meet on Wednesday evenings to learn about everything from criminal investigations and narcotics operations to firearms safety and emergency vehicle maneuvers.
The program isn’t about training new recruits—it’s about building relationships. You’ll get to participate in the same training drills officers use, and even join a ride-along on patrol.
If you’re interested, don’t wait: the deadline to apply is Friday, March 27th. You can find the application on the City of Santa Rosa’s website or by emailing the department’s administrative office.
