A 46-year-old Santa Rosa man is facing a felony charge of resisting arrest following a confrontation last week that ended in an officer-involved shooting.
The Press Democrat reports investigators with the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office say Eric Keith Brown was unarmed but aggressively pursued Officer Taylor McDonagh near 10th and Washington streets, reportedly shouting for the officer to shoot him while ignoring multiple Taser deployments.
Brown remains hospitalized in stable condition, while Officer McDonagh—a six-year veteran of the force—has been placed on standard administrative leave pending a full review of the incident and body camera footage.
