A new business in Sebastopol is preparing to open its doors with a mission that goes far beyond gardening.
The Press Democrat reports The Growing Together Nursery will host its official grand opening on April 10th and 11th.
Operated by the Rohnert Park-based nonprofit Oaks of Hebron, the nursery provides hands-on horticulture and job training for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Located on Old Gravenstein Highway, the site serves as both a small business and a community hub. The celebration kicks off with a noon ribbon-cutting on April 10th featuring local leaders, including Supervisor Lynda Hopkins.
Visitors can enjoy tours and raffles from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days while meeting the staff behind this unique local project.
