Acclaimed Chef Ari Weiswasser is trading fine dining for flipturns this May with the launch of SMASH.
According to Sonoma Magazine, the new fast-casual spot will take over the historic Taub Outpost building right on First Street West. Diners can expect a playful menu featuring signature smashburgers, crispy fried chicken, and classic milkshakes.
For those looking for a kick, the restaurant will also serve craft cocktails and “boozy shakes” perfect for the plaza. The venture will also provide a fresh food menu for the upstairs bar, the Beacon, via dine-in or takeout.
Weiswasser and partner Spencer Waite designed the concept to be a high-energy, ingredient-driven island of fun in Sonoma.
