This morning high school students across Santa Rosa will see something new on campus, police officers.
This has been requested by students, parents and staff. Due to the recent rash of violence on campuses, the decision was made yesterday to post a police officer at each of the city’s high schools, and have officers check in daily at middle schools. The Santa Rosa City Schools Board will still have to work out a long-term plan in order to keep the officers, who currently are only slated to be there for the next two weeks. The Board is scheduled to take up the issue at it’s meeting tomorrow night.
