Petaluma Residents To Put Future Of Luxury Hotel On The Ballot

Members and supporters of Petaluma Historic Advocates are a step closer to blocking the construction of a celebrity chef’s luxury hotel.

The group says it has enough signatures to get the issue on the ballot. Members presented the stacks of signatures at Petaluma City Hall on Tuesday afternoon. They want to stop the construction of Chef Charlie Palmer’s Appellation Petaluma hotel before it starts.

The group is in need of four-thousand-59 valid signatures, which is ten percent of all registered voters in the city. Members say they have gathered nearly seven-thousand signatures.
