Santa Rosa is signing off on a city budget that includes more than eleven-million dollars in cuts and nearly two-dozen layoffs.
The Santa Rosa City Council approved the 553-point-eight-million-dollar budget for 2025-2026 on Tuesday. The budget includes 20 layoffs and the elimination of another 20 unfilled positions.
The spending cuts will help address just over half of the city’s nearly 20-million-dollar deficit for the coming fiscal year.
