Host Jeff Woodworth talks with Shelley Alves, Health Program Manager, BH SUD, Department of Health Services, about the Overdose Awareness Event taking place on Saturday, August 30th, from 1-4 at the Orenda Center on 1430 Neotomas Ave. in Santa Rosa. It's a free, family-friendly event open to the entire community! There will be Narcan training and distribution on-site, where you can learn how to reverse an opioid overdose. There's also a Latin Rollers lowrider car show, resource fair, music, and free food! This is a chance to honor lives lost, support loved ones, and raise awareness. Spanish-language support and resources will be available on-site as well.

Host Jeff Woodworth talks with Wayne Wilson of the Petaluma Elks Lodge No.901, about who the Elks are, how the Elks Lodge came to be and what community initiatives they support! The two discuss the Elks national support of Veterans, the American Legion, youth activities and scholarships. In addition, they touch on the major state projects for helping disabled children and more localized causes they get behind, including the "Mentor Me" program, Sonoma Family Meal & their partnership with the Petaluma Leghorns & support of the new Petaluma Community Sports Complex!
