Housing Plan Approved

The State of California has signed off on Sonoma County’s plan to create over 3,800 housing units in the coming years. The county now becomes eligible for grants and other funds available for affordable housing, as about half of the new units must be for low and very low income residents. The plans approval also means that developers will no longer have the builder’s remedy option to bypass local zoning and other regulations for projects.
