It turns out the dispute and lawsuit between music legends Daryl Hall and John Oates is due to Oates wanting to sell his remaining stake in their musical catalog, but that would violate the terms of their business agreement. A Nashville judge has put the deal on hold. Oates had planned to sell to Primary Wave IP Investments, with already owns a significant interest in their catalog.
