The city of Sebastopol has walked away from supporting the Gravenstein Commons housing project proposed by St. Vincent de Paul on property they own on Gravenstein Hwy North. St. Vincent de Paul has secured $6.5 million in funding to create 22 units of permanent supportive housing, but the city contends they would be on the hook for financial responsibility and says the project is $3 to $5 million dollars under-funded.
