The first of 3 community meetings to help re-imagine Martin Luther King Jr. Park in Santa Rosa was held on Saturday. The 5.3 acre park sits southwest of the race track at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds and sees heavy use at it’s playground, basketball courts and soccer field. The city has secured $5.4 million dollars for renovation of the park and through a series of meetings is seeking public input on the master plan. The next community meeting will be in August.
