Very reluctantly, the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors voted to send an initiative to ban factory farming to the November Ballot as Measure J. Board members did not hold back in comments for their disdain for the measure or those supporting it. If approved, it could put up to 60 farms in the county at risk of having to shut down. Supervisors said they would post a letter of opposition on their website within the next two weeks.
