Supporters of creating the Southeast Greenway on land previously slated to become an extension of Hwy 12 over Spring Lake are awaiting a vote today by the California Transportation Commission that could finalize the sale of the 49-acre property. The purchase price is listed at $1.8 million dollars. 9 acres will be retained by the state and eventually turned into housing. The 49-acre parcel running from Farmers Lane to Spring Lake Regional Park will eventually have picnic tables, sports courts, ball fields and trails. The sale could be complete in July.
