Smoke could be seen coming from the top of the still under-construction 6-story courthouse in Santa Rosa on Saturday from material thrown into a garbage can and left on the roof. Santa Rosa Fire officials say the trash can melted, causing another trash can to ignite on the sixth floor. Six engines and 30 firefighters had the fire out in about half an hour. There was only minor damage to the building.
