Open Burns Banned In Areas Surrounding Lake Berryessa

Open burns are no longer allowed in some areas around Lake Berryessa.

Napa County fire officials are banning the use of charcoal grills and fire pits due to elevated wildfire risk. The open burn ban starts today. It applies to all recreational sites managed by the county and the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation. That includes the Oak Shores and Smittle Creek day use areas.

The burn ban does not apply to nearby residential communities and other county recreational areas.
