Freezeout Road in the Duncans Mills area was shut down for several hours yesterday evening due to an unspecified “incident.”
The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office closed the road in both directions, with the Monte Rio Fire Protection District on standby for a medical emergency. According to the Press Democrat, Fire Chief Steve Baxman confirmed that SWAT officers were involved, but details about the nature of the incident remain undisclosed.
A Sheriff’s Office alert advised residents to avoid the area, and the road finally reopened early this morning.
