Point Blue Conservation Science, based in Petaluma, has a new CEO: Melissa Pitkin.
The Press Democrat reports Pitkin has been with the nonprofit for nearly three decades, most recently as acting CEO. She’s played key roles, establishing programs like STRAW – Students and Teachers Restoring A Watershed.
Point Blue’s board praised her leadership and vision. Pitkin is excited to lead the organization, which recently secured a $50 million grant, into its next chapter for nature and people.
