Sea Lion Spotted Around Petaluma Rescued From Outlet Mall Parking Lot

The sea lion that’s been spotted around Petaluma, nicknamed Mallory by rescuers, was found Saturday morning in an unexpected place: the Petaluma Outlets mall parking lot.

According to the Press Democrat, the sea lion, believed to be the same one previously known as “Stevie,” was safely transported to the Marine Mammal Center hospital in Sausalito. Vets say she’s healthy and energetic, but are testing for domoic acid poisoning after a report of her seizing.
