Sonoma County is seeing a mild summer surge of COVID-19 cases.
It was announced on Tuesday, by Sutter Health infectious disease specialist Doctor Gary Green. He says most people are being treated in outpatient clinics.
Sutter Health is reporting a 22 percent positivity rate among the people with symptoms being tested at its clinics and outpatient medical offices, and eight percent of symptomatic patients tested in Sutter’s emergency department have tested positive for COVID-19.
Green says he does not expect the summer infection total to surpass last year’s.
