A new Rapid Rehousing Program has been launched to address homelessness in Sonoma Valley.
The program, a partnership between the Sonoma County Department of Health Services and the nonprofit HomeFirst, will help unhoused individuals find and keep permanent housing.
The program offers financial assistance for rent and security deposits and is seeking landlords willing to rent their units to participants. Landlords who join the program can receive financial incentives of up to $1,000, along with support for tenant mediation and property damage.
In its first year, the program aims to house approximately 20 people. Landlords interested in participating can contact HomeFirst for more information.
