Sebastopol is giving 40-thousand dollars to a social services agency to conduct homeless outreach.
The move by the Sebastopol City Council will allow Guerneville-based homeless services nonprofit West County Community Services to keep providing outreach in the city. The 40-thousand dollar investment will pay for the contract of a part-time outreach worker.
The City Council decided against shifting the money to the Sebastopol Police Department, which is directly responsible for managing and collaborating with WCCS.
