A Sonoma County judge has denied a request by former Windsor Mayor Dominic Foppoli to move his upcoming civil trial out of the county.
The lawsuit was filed by seven women who accuse Foppoli of sexual assault. The Press Democrat reports Foppoli’s attorney, Andrew Watters, argued that media attention would prevent a fair trial, but the judge disagreed.
The case, which also names Christopher Creek Winery and the Santa Rosa chapter of Active 20-30, is scheduled for trial in March 2026.
