Santa Rosa Police Officer Riley Howard has been named the 2025 Officer of the Year by the Exchange Club of Sonoma County.
Officer Howard was recognized for his outstanding work in traffic safety and enforcement. His career highlights include successfully prosecuting nine major collision investigations and making over 350 DUI arrests, which earned him MADD’s “Top Cop” award. He was also instrumental in virtually ending sideshow activity in the city.
Officer Howard received additional honors from Mayor Mark Stapp and representatives from Senator Mike McGuire and Congressman Mike Thompson’s offices, acknowledging his dedicated service to community safety.
