Authorities are searching for a man who assaulted an employee outside The Lodge at Sonoma Resort late Saturday.
Police say the incident occurred shortly before 11:30 p.m. at the hotel when an employee tried to wake a man sleeping in nearby bushes. The man then allegedly slashed their face with a small blade. The suspect fled before officers arrived, and an extensive search has so far been unsuccessful.
Authorities say there is no ongoing threat to the public.
