Local CRV Recycling Center Set To Reopen In Windsor

After a year-long absence, the local CRV recycling center is set to reopen by the end of the month.

The Press Democrat reports the temporary center, run by UCP of the North Bay (United Cerebral Palsy), will be located at the former Windsor Creek Elementary School. It will operate Tuesdays and Saturdays, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., allowing residents to redeem the fees they pay on bottles and cans.

The facility is funded by a $1 million grant and will employ individuals with disabilities.

UCP is currently looking for a more permanent location.
