Authorities ID Victim From Last Month’s Deadly Single-Vehicle Accidnet

This is an update on a fatal single-vehicle accident from last month in Santa Rosa. The Press Democrat reports authorities have now identified the victim as 55-year-old John Plasier Jr. of Kelseyville.

The crash occurred on the afternoon of October 16th on northbound Highway 101. According to the California Highway Patrol, Mr. Plasier lost control of his Ford Expedition in the middle lane. His SUV subsequently veered left, struck the center median, crossed all lanes of traffic, hit a guardrail, and rolled into a ditch.

When emergency crews arrived, the vehicle was upside down with its roof partially submerged in water. Mr. Plasier was rushed to Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital but was later pronounced dead. The Sonoma County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identification.
