Routine Traffic Stop Results In Firearm Charges

A standard traffic stop on Highway 101 in Santa Rosa yesterday led to the arrest of a Petaluma man on firearm charges.

Around 12:00 p.m. on December 14th, a patrol officer stopped a Toyota sedan. The stop took a serious turn when a passenger admitted to possessing ammunition.

Officers searched the vehicle and discovered a concealed, unregistered semi-automatic Glock 26 handgun hidden in a box bearing the driver’s name.

The driver, 19-year-old Halton Greenberg of Petaluma, was taken into custody. He faces multiple charges, including carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle and carrying a loaded firearm in public.
