Sebastopol Regional Library Closing For Three-Week Renovation

If you were planning a trip to the Sebastopol Regional Library this week, you’ll need to adjust your route as the branch begins a significant three-week makeover.

The library officially closed its doors Monday for a one-hundred-and-fifty-eight-thousand-dollar renovation project. The upgrades focus on modernizing technology and staff workspaces, with the centerpiece being a new automated book return system.

Officials say the new tech will speed up processing and improve accuracy for returned materials.

The branch is scheduled to reopen on January 26th. In the meantime, the Sonoma County Library system is directing patrons to nearby branches in Forestville, Guerneville, and Occidental, which remain open for regular business.
