A Petaluma woman has been sentenced to five years for embezzling nearly $183,000 from a Santa Rosa landscaping company.
Jennifer Sutton, who worked as a bookkeeper for the firm, pleaded no contest to elder theft charges after prosecutors revealed she spent six years funneling money from her employer.
She is ordered to serve 15 months in custody, followed by supervised release, and must pay back the stolen funds.
