Guerneville residents are on high alert today as the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office has issued an evacuation warning for a neighborhood south of the Russian River.
Per the Press Democrat, the warning affects folks living along Neeley Road and Orchard Avenue, where officials are worried that the incoming storm—expected to dump another two inches of rain—could trigger a landslide on the local hillsides.
Emergency crews are urging everyone in the area to pack their essentials, including medications and important documents, and to keep a close eye out for any moving dirt or debris on their property.
With the ground already saturated from last week’s thunderstorms, the region is bracing for what could be a very messy Tuesday.
