Sonoma International Film Festival Returns

Get ready for your close-up, Sonoma. The 29th annual Sonoma International Film Festival is rolling out the red carpet this March 25th through the 29th, bringing a world-class slate of 104 films from 37 different countries.

Per the Sonoma Index-Tribune, this year’s lineup is a heavy-hitter, featuring new works from legends like Steven Soderbergh and Julian Schnabel. Maude Apatow makes her directorial debut with the opening night comedy Poetic License, while the festival closes with a local favorite: Under the Lights, a drama filmed right here in Sonoma and Santa Rosa.

But it’s not just about the silver screen. SIFF is leaning into Sonoma’s roots with “Pop-In” dining events at local hotspots and the exclusive “Moon and The Stars” dinner at Valley Bar + Bottle. From dark thrillers starring Bob Odenkirk to culinary documentaries, Artistic Director Carl Spence says this year reflects the “full spectrum” of modern cinema.
