A man dies after being detained by Lake County deputies at Kelseyville Community Park.
Deputies responded Tuesday and found him lethargic and combative when medics arrived, leading to handcuffs and his refusal of medical assistance. He later became unresponsive, was hospitalized, and pronounced dead. The coroner is withholding his name.
Authorities said he had a small amount of suspected fentanyl, and the DA noted handcuffs were removed once medical issues arose.
