Residents of Sebastopol’s New Woodmark Apartments Facing Mass Eviction

Residents of Sebastopol’s new Woodmark Apartments are facing mass eviction after moving in under low-income agreements.

Per the Press Democrat, the 48-unit complex, built for farmworkers, is now trying to empty out for its intended residents, despite the developer failing to secure the required waivers.

The City Council is meeting today to consider an emergency “just-cause” eviction ordinance, which would force landlords to pay three months’ rent for no-fault relocations, aiming to protect the displaced tenants.
