A 78-year-old man with nine prior DUI convictions has been sentenced to three years in custody after pleading no contest to felony DUI charges.
Alberto Salgado-Gonzalez was sentenced October 30th by Judge Laura Passaglia following an April 28th, 2024, crash in which his blood alcohol level measured more than twice the legal limit. He was under supervision at the time due to a previous felony DUI.
Sonoma County District Attorney Carla Rodriguez said the three-year term is the maximum allowed by law.
