A professor in the communications department at the Santa Rosa Junior College was arrested on Monday for bringing a gun onto campus in his briefcase. Several students reported seeing 74-year old Michael Kenneth Beyries having a pistol with him inside of Garcia Hall. It is illegal in California to have or use a firearm on any school campus. Beyries was arrested and booked into the Sonoma County Jail and is now barred from being on campus for the next 14 days.
