Apple Plant Closing

The last commercial apple processing plant in Sonoma county is calling it quits and moving out of state. Manzana Apple Products of Sebastopol will move to Yakima, Washington by 2025. The company has been in business for over 100-years and employs 180 workers, who will be given a chance to relocate. Once the dominant region in the country for apples, currently 80% of the apples processed by Manzana in Sebastopol are imported, mostly from Washington.
