The Santa Rosa City Council again took up the idea of temporarily closing a portion of Fourth Street in downtown Santa Rosa to vehicle traffic to create a walkable space to try and attract more visitors downtown. Much like was done during the COVID-19 pandemic, from B street in front of the Santa Rosa Plaza east to Mendocino Ave would be closed to cars, except for a small section to allow vehicles access to the side streets around courthouse square. No decision was made, city staff will return with a full plan at a future date.
