Sonoma County Focus: Overdose Awareness Day 2025

Host Jeff Woodworth talks with Shelley Alves, Health Program Manager, BH SUD, Department of Health Services, about the Overdose Awareness Event taking place on Saturday, August 30th, from 1-4 at the Orenda Center on 1430 Neotomas Ave. in Santa Rosa. It's a free, family-friendly event open to the entire community! There will be Narcan training and distribution on-site, where you can learn how to reverse an opioid overdose. There's also a Latin Rollers lowrider car show, resource fair, music, and free food! This is a chance to honor lives lost, support loved ones, and raise awareness. Spanish-language support and resources will be available on-site as well.
