Hilary

Tropical storm Hilary soaked the southland yesterday, flooding streets from San Diego to LA and into Nevada.
The LA School district, the second largest in the nation, cancelled what would have been the first day of school today, telling kids to stay home. San Diego schools are closed as well.
Rainfall across much of the LA basin was in the 4-5 inch range, all falling in less than 24 hours.
Mudslides and swamped roads were the main issues in the Palm Springs area… as runoff from heavy rain in the mountains cascaded down into the valley. Hilary is still dropping rain in the state, a slight chance of showers exists for us today, while moisture has now made it to Oregon and Idaho.
