Weather Impacts

Santa Rosa hit a new record high temperature yesterday… hitting 73 degrees, beating the old mark of 72 set back in 1940. This follows a record high set on Sunday as well. A powerful Pacific storm will take aim at the west coast starting tonight. Currently 2-4 inches of rain is expected for most with some in west county getting around 6 inches from late tonight through Thursday. Wind will be a problem, with gusts to 30mph, potentially toppling some trees. We do have a wind advisory and a flood watch already in place, while there will be some small stream flooding and possible landslides, the Russian and Napa rivers are currently forecast to remain below flood stage. More rain is forecast for the weekend and into next week.
