Congressman Mike Thompson secured $898,000 in funding through a federal earmark for the Community and Gun Violence Reduction Initiative, which will establish the City of Santa Rosa Police Department’s Real Time Crime Center. This will allow for the city to acquire gunshot detection software and crime prevention software to help SRPD investigate and prevent gun crimes.
